Hi, I’m Tish Granville, MS, LPCC-S
I am the owner of Thresholds and am a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor in the state of Ohio. I have 14 years of experience treating various mental disorders, but specialize in the treatment of trauma. I am passionate about having biblical truth as the foundation and branching into advanced evidenced-based interventions throughout the therapy process. I have many years of experience training and teaching in the community on topics of trauma and emotional health. I have facilitated professional development and continuing education training for professionals. I am also a co-author of the book “Daddy Hunger: Feeding the Deficit with Divine Dining”.
I am a resident of Northeast Ohio and reside with my husband and 2 sons. I enjoy being in nature, gardening, hiking, birding, reading, crafting and DIY projects. I am a person of deep faith and also a trauma survivor.
My Approach
I take a compassionate and curious approach to my work. I believe in honoring each person and their story and collaborating on the best path forward. I prefer to incorporate experiential methods into the psychotherapy process and help clients notice their bodies and inner worlds in a more meaningful way. I believe clients can achieve resolution of target issues through a gradual and gentle process. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but through micro-moments and the gentle re-shaping of the nervous system. So that means I am ok with going slow—as slow is a direct mismatch to the fast, blindsiding nature of trauma.
